Earth is Becoming a Greener Greenhouse Changes in Greenness Level: To assess changes in the grenness magnitude or level, we hold growing season constant by defining it as April to October time period. Our results, shown in the figure below, indicate that the Apr-Oct average greenness level increased by about 8% in North America and 12% in Eurasia over the period of study (1981-99). |
